Why do you visit this site?

if being one of jw's is truly behind you, why do you visit this site years later to discuss the subject ?

i know why i do but am curious why others do and how long it will continue.

when will enough be enough?.

Does "God" Exist?

I don't think earth is a soul school.

I don't think we are spirits in a material world.

I don't think we reincarnate and live many lives.

At least that what I am reading about this week.

I don't believe in God.

But in reading about reincarnation, I see some believe in many gods and some believe in 1 God, thats among those

who believe in reincarnation.

I believe there may be some higher power some higher intelligence.

On this forum I see there are many people who do believe in God and some tend to be millitant about their

belief, maybe because of having been hurt by the Jw's.

What ever I believe, I cant prove it

And what ever anybody else believes, they cant prove it either,

or else we would all agree.

As illustrated by Wobble's response, there are many different ideas about what 'God' is.

Before we can question the existence of God, we have to decide what the concept of 'God' refers to. Are we asking whether there is 'something out there?' Are we deciding if God is as explained in the bible or other holy books. Is God just a feeling in our hearts. Some Christians now refer to God as just a metaphor!

We can never be sure if our search has ended until we are clear what we are looking for.

Does anyone else find the whole Jah V Satan universal issue absurd?

when i was 'in', that of course was a big thing, and i well knew all the scriptures and resonings behind it.. not long ago i saw a u tube video that took me into deepest space from the hymalian mountains and back in again.

what struck me was the shear immensity of just our own universe, let alone the rest of the known one.

i realized how tiny tiny nothing this little planet is.

This Jah V Satan universal issue has, in the light of science, become nothing more than folklore. But ingenious modern Christians have rapidly evolved to counter this threat to their faith.

Satan and Jah are now 'metaphors and not to be taken literally.' They are symbolic of the struggle between good and evil; or what is now known a the highest ideas as opposed to lesser ideals.

The devil is in the detail so, every verse of scripture that talks in detail of a devil V Jah, is metamorphosed into a vague invisible spiritual vapour.

Those without 'faith,'are condemned to remain 'spiritually blind.' Ignorant sceptics lacking feeling or enough intelligence to understand the deeper things of god.
